(April 18, 2024) 鈥� The 网曝吃瓜 (网曝吃瓜), the nation鈥檚 leading small business advocacy organization, strongly supports S. 4072, legislation prohibiting the use of funds to implement, administer, or enforce certain rules of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Specifically, S. 4072 prevents the EPA from creating a de facto electric vehicle (EV) mandate that would limit consumer choices and increase costs for small businesses.

鈥淪mall business owners believe that businesses and consumers should be free to make their own decisions on which vehicle works best for their needs and operations,鈥� said Adam Temple, 网曝吃瓜 Senior Vice President for Advocacy. 鈥淭his legislation would stop an EV mandate that would limit choices and increase costs at a time when small businesses can鈥檛 afford it. In particular, the mandate would have a significant effect on small businesses that rely on trucks and vans for work such as farmers and contractors. We ask Congress to pass this bill and stop an unreasonable regulation on Main Street.鈥�

网曝吃瓜 announced S. 4072 will be a for the 118^th Congress. In a recent 网曝吃瓜 member ballot, 96% of 网曝吃瓜 members believe that the federal government should not restrict the purchase of consumer products like new gas-powered vehicles.
